Lip Service Black Velvetine Blazer - (Canada) This lovely black velvetine blazer was worn only a few times and is in practically new condition. The inside lining has a cool white and pink punk-ish design and the outside details of the jacket include two cute front pockets and a slight peplum which is more noticeable in the back. The sleeves have a slight gathering at the shoulders and a button at the wrist. This jacket has a good weight to it, and doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. Black & Maroon Lace Draping Peplum Jacket - This is from UK's Dark Star (Jordash). New with tag. Nice and light with some stretch – soft, slightly stretchy black torso and sleeves, edged with a maroon and black layered embroidered peplum that drapes longer in the back than the front, with beautiful pointed cuffs. Elasticated waist, front of the coat is trimmed in the same layered fabric as the peplum, and the buttoned cuffs. It buttons with one frog knot button at the waist. This jacket is very flexible and I think would fit anyone from a size 10 to 14, bust up to 43", waist 38" comfortably stretched, back length 37", front length 29". It's great for curvy figures – very flattering and versatile. Vintage Black & Dark Gold Metallic Haori - This haori is in a weave of classic Japanese decorative geometric pattern, with red and white tasseled ties and a wonderful lining in rich yellow with a pattern of stylized white moths – beautiful lucky moths! This is a heavier, drapier garment, beautiful to the touch and suitable for men or women! I cannot be 100% sure of the fibers, but the drape is that of silk and so is the hand feel - if it IS an artificial fiber, it's one so fine as to be mind-boggling. FLAWS: One small and subtle mend on the lining, and a small group of whitish spots on one sleeve – I have a picture here which makes them look a lot more prominent than they are - they have to be looked for. This is a smaller haori which is suited to men or women. It measures 40" around, and 31" from neckback to hem. Snuggly Suede & Faux Fur Jacket by Mudd - This beautiful caramel-colored suede MUDD jacket is a junior's size large. The entire jacket, including cuffs, is outlined in soft faux fur. It closes with three buttons. The lining is a lightly quilted caramel color as well, and is also in excellent shape. There is a small tear (about 2" long) in the lining of the right pocket. Winter White & Gold Jacket with Gold Camisole - This is a winter white and gold, fitted damask jacket with a gold camisole. This is a beautiful little jacket with lots of detailing in a soft damask fabric from Lane Bryant. Size 16W. It's fitted at the waist with a small peplum. It has a bit of a Marie Antoinette look to it with the ruffles and tapes, neat domed buttons, hooks down the front. My dressmaker's dummy is lopsided - this coat is correctly aligned! It is unlined, with finished seams and no wear, since it did not fit me. One of the inside seam tapes is a little loose, but it doesn't affect the wearability or durability of the coat - I think it's just some manufacturing mis-stitching. 1920s Vintage Black Wool Tux Jacket - This is a black wool tuxedo jacket which I think it's probably from the 1920s or 1930s based on the cut and general condition. This jacket is made of wool lined in silk with silk lapels that are sadly somewhat frayed and deteriorated. However this gives a very cool sort of distressed look to the jacket, and if you know the basics of sewing it would be relatively easy to cover them with new fabric. It has a one button closure with three pockets on the outside. This came from a store called "Hip Hub" in Baltimore according to the label inside the pocket. The size is pretty small - the chest is only 35", the sleeves are 24" long, and the width across the top of the back is 15" - that doesn't take the sleeve tops into account. I think this would fit a women's size 4 or 6, or a very slender guy. This is such a great vintage piece for your closet. Selling for $20 (plus $6.50 US shipping)

Vintage 1940s Heavy Black Velvet Jacket - I am clearing out my vintage collection and this is one of my nicest pieces. It's a very substantial, thick, light-swallowing, black silk velvet, lined with the heavy, creamy satin of the day. The fly-away style closes with one big velvet button at the top, and has a mandarin collar. It has full sleeves with a split cuff. This is a gorgeous little jacket, beautiful workmanship and wonderful vintage condition – I can barely stand to part with it, but it does not fit me. The little white marks on the velvet are camera flash. The shoulders (padded) measure 15" across. The torso is open, but when closed measures 38", but this is supposed to fit a little loosely. Length is 17". I would recommend this for no more than about a 34"-36" bust, maybe a size 6-8. The jacket is fairly heavy. Ideology Black Vinyl Jacket - This is a shiny, black vinyl, motorcycle-styled jacket. Made of 70% polyurethane and 30% polyester. The jacket is lined with hot pink silky material. There are zippers on the ends of the sleeves. It zips up the front with 2 snaps and a belt loop closure at the bottom. It's labeled as a size small, and has no stretch. Plum Crushed Velvet Jacket - (UK) This jacket is an aubergine/eggplant/plum-coloured velvet with vertical texturing that catches the light. This is proper crushed velvet, with a deep pile, not the more common 'brushed' velvet. The jacket looks very Indian, with its high Nehru collar and paisley-design, brass-tone buttons, which fasten through elasticated loops. Fully lined and constructed in panels, it has small integral shoulder-pads, turned-up cuffs and fake front pockets. Made by Unit 7 Collection. Size medium, chest 36", sleeve-length 24", length (from shoulder) 30". The only faults are some discoloured patches, most noticeably at the bottom hem and on one shoulder (visible in the picture), the latter of which will probably need to be covered up (with a corsage, perhaps?) or dyed over in some way. 	Black & Maroon Lace Draping Peplum Jacket - This is from UK's Dark Star (Jordash). New with tag. Nice and light with some stretch – soft, slightly stretchy black torso and sleeves, edged with a maroon and black layered embroidered peplum that drapes longer in the back than the front, with beautiful pointed cuffs. 	Vintage Black & Dark Gold Metallic Haori - This haori is in a weave of classic Japanese decorative geometric pattern, with red and white tasseled ties and a wonderful lining in rich yellow with a pattern of stylized white moths – beautiful lucky moths! This is a heavier, drapier garment, beautiful to the touch and suitable for men or women! I cannot be 100% sure of the fibers, but the drape is that of silk and so is the hand feel - if it IS an artificial fiber, it's one so fine as to be mind-boggling. FLAWS: One small and subtle mend on the lining, and a small group of whitish spots on one sleeve – I have a picture here which makes them look a lot more prominent than they are - they have to be looked for. 	Winter White & Gold Jacket with Gold Camisole - This is a winter white and gold, fitted damask jacket with a gold camisole. This is a beautiful little jacket with lots of detailing in a soft damask fabric from Lane Bryant. Size 16W. It's fitted at the waist with a small peplum. It has a bit of a Marie Antoinette look to it with the ruffles and tapes, neat domed buttons, hooks down the front. My dressmaker's dummy is lopsided - this coat is correctly aligned! It is unlined, with finished seams and no wear, since it did not fit me. One of the inside seam tapes is a little loose, but it doesn't affect the wearability or durability of the coat - I think it's just some manufacturing mis-stitching. 	1920s Vintage Black Wool Tux Jacket - This is a black wool tuxedo jacket which I think it's probably from the 1920s or 1930s based on the cut and general condition. This jacket is made of wool lined in silk with silk lapels that are sadly somewhat frayed and deteriorated. However this gives a very cool sort of distressed look to the jacket, and if you know the basics of sewing it would be relatively easy to cover them with new fabric. It has a one button closure with three pockets on the outside. This came from a store called "Hip Hub" in Baltimore according to the label inside the pocket. The size is pretty small - the chest is only 35", the sleeves are 24" long, and the width across the top of the back is 15" - that doesn't take the sleeve tops into account. I think this would fit a women's size 4 or 6, or a very slender guy. This is such a great vintage piece for your closet. 	Vintage 1940s Heavy Black Velvet Jacket - I am clearing out my vintage collection and this is one of my nicest pieces. It's a very substantial, thick, light-swallowing, black silk velvet, lined with the heavy, creamy satin of the day. The fly-away style closes with one big velvet button at the top, and has a mandarin collar. It has full sleeves with a split cuff. This is a gorgeous little jacket, beautiful workmanship and wonderful vintage condition – I can barely stand to part with it, but it does not fit me. The little white marks on the velvet are camera flash. The shoulders (padded) measure 15" across. The torso is open, but when closed measures 38", but this is supposed to fit a little loosely. 	Plum Crushed Velvet Jacket - (UK) This jacket is an aubergine/eggplant/plum-coloured velvet with vertical texturing that catches the light. This is proper crushed velvet, with a deep pile, not the more common 'brushed' velvet. The jacket looks very Indian, with its high Nehru collar and paisley-design, brass-tone buttons, which fasten through elasticated loops. Fully lined and constructed in panels, it has small integral shoulder-pads, turned-up cuffs and fake front pockets. Made by Unit 7 Collection.
